Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Cristiano Ronaldo delivered a commanding performance, netting two crucial goals as Al Nassr comfortably defeated Al Khaleej 3-1 to secure their spot in the final of the Saudi King's Cup. This victory sets up a highly anticipated clash against unbeaten league leaders Al Hilal.
The Portuguese superstar opened the scoring in the 17th minute, capitalizing on a goalkeeper error from Al Khaleej's Ibrahim Šehić to slot home coolly. Al Nassr doubled their advantage in the 37th minute when Sadio Mané confidently converted a penalty after a handball in the box.
Ronaldo, at 39, wasn't finished. He added his second, and Al Nassr's third, just before the hour mark (57th minute) with a classic poacher's finish, tapping in a well-placed low cross from Ayman Yahya from close range after Al Khaleej failed to clear their lines effectively.
Al Khaleej managed a late consolation goal through substitute Fawaz Al-Torais in the 82nd minute, who found the net with a good strike, but it was too little, too late to mount a comeback.
Ronaldo was influential throughout the semifinal, not just with his goals but also with his movement and link-up play, demonstrating his enduring class and hunger for success.
This victory gives Ronaldo a significant opportunity to lift his first piece of silverware since joining Al Nassr and moving to the Saudi Pro League. However, the final presents a monumental task. Al Hilal are currently enjoying a phenomenal season, leading the Saudi Pro League and remaining unbeaten. They have already defeated Al Nassr this season, including in the Saudi Supercup.
