Rajpal Yadav recently talked about turning down the role of Jethalal in the long-running sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’. During a conversation in an interview, when Rajpal was asked if he has any regrets for not doing ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, then in response he says no, absolutely not.
Rajpal does not regret not playing Jethalal’s character
Rajpal says, “No, no. Jethalal’s character was identified by a good actor, a good artist and I consider every character to be an artist’s character.” He adds, “We are in an entertainment market so I don’t want to fit my character into the character of an artist.”
Rajpal will soon be seen in the film ‘Hungama 2’
Rajpal explains, “So I feel that whatever character is made, which is made for Rajpal, he gets the privilege of doing it, but never gets a chance to play a character created by another artist. Rajpal is known for his comic roles in films like ‘Chup Chup Ke’, ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’, ‘Waqt: The Race Against Time’, ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. He will next be seen in the film Hungama 2.
