R. Madhavan recently extended a warm and emotional message to astronaut Sunita Williams, celebrating her safe return to Earth after spending over nine months in space. In a tweet, Madhavan expressed his joy and relief, writing, "Welcome back to Earth our Dear Dear Sunita Williams. #sunitawilliams ..Our prayers have been answered… so wonderful to see you safe and smiling."
Williams, alongside astronaut Butch Wilmore, returned to Earth aboard SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft after a prolonged stay in space. The mission, which was initially planned to last only eight days, extended to more than 260 days due to technical issues with the Boeing Starliner capsule, leaving them stranded in space. As a result, NASA reassigned the astronauts to the SpaceX Crew-9 mission, which successfully brought them back home.

Williams and Wilmore were originally launched into space on June 5 of the previous year for what was meant to be a short mission. However, after facing a propulsion failure with their capsule, their return was delayed significantly.
