Will Bhagwant Mann resign from the Punjab CM post? Will Arvind Kejriwal pressurize
Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : Bhagwant Mann News: Punjab Congress leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has started to target Aam Aadmi Party and its national convener Arvind Kejriwal and demanding resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
After the Akal Takht has found guilty of religious misconduct of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the issue has been turning very political. Congress has sought resignation of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and has started to corner Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
A senior Punjab Congress leader and MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa in a post on social media platform X asked a direct question to Arvind Kejriwal, will you ask Bhagwant Mann to resign from the post of Chief Minister?
Randhawa sought resignation of Mann.
The post of Randhawa read "After the decision of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, a wave of grief and anger has been created among millions of Sikhs living in India and abroad. In such a situation, the Chief Minister should take moral responsibility and resign from the post of Chief Minister. If not then will Arvind Kejriwal ask him for resignation."
He said "People of Punjab would like to know whether the Aam Aadmi Party will side with the prestige of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Sikhs or it will keep silent just to save the seat of power. Randhawa has called it a matter of faith and respect said that such sectarian thoughts will never be tolerated in Punjab.
Punjab Congress declared Mann 'traitor to the guru' and 'anti-Panthic'.
The Punjab Congress also wrote a post on X stating that Sri Akal Takht Sahib has declared Bhagwant Mann as "traitor to the Guru" and "anti-Panthic". Congress further stated that this decision has been taken after the forensics of the alleged video and Akal Takht has requested the entire Sikh community to have no relations with the CM Mann. Congress further stated that after this decision Bhagwant Mann has no moral rights to be the Chief Minister anymore and has been asked to resign immediately.
What is the matter?
Actually on Monday, Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj declared Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann guilty of religious misconduct. The decision has been taken after an alleged video has surfaced of the Chief Minister sprinkling alcohol on Sikh Gurus' images.
The Akal Takht has called Bhagwant Mann 'traitor to the Guru' and an 'anti-Khalsa sect' and asked the Sikh community to severe all their social and religious relations with Mann. Also it has been requested that all the Sikh MLAs from Punjab including members of the state cabinet of the state government irrespective of their political party, must present themselves before the Akal Takht on June 29.
