The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has initiated immediate disciplinary action by suspending Bhai Malkit Singh, the Additional Chief Granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, alongside S. Mohan Singh, a designated driver at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib. The directive was officially sanctioned by SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami after the names of both personnel surfaced in connection with an alleged unethical and immoral controversy. Releasing an official communication from Amritsar, SGPC Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Mannan affirmed that the apex administrative body moved swiftly following media reports, reinforcing the institutional principle that moral conduct among all employees remains non-negotiable.
