PRIYANKA CHOPRA SPEAKS ON WHAT MADE HER LEAVE BOLLYWOOD:
Priyanka commented, in a revealing manner, describing one aspect of the Bollywood world that might not be known to most. Her exact words were, “I’ve never said this so I’m going to say it because you’ll make me feel safe,” with regard to how she felt she was being exhausted because of the politics involved in the game and the showbiz circle.
“I was being pushed into a corner in the industry. I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, and I am not good at playing that game. I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break to the media,” she shared.How Did Priyanka Chopra Make Her Hollywood Debut?
The actress shared how, at that low point in her career, a manager at Desi Hits called her after seeing a video of Priyanka and reached out. At that time, Priyanka was neck deep in working on Vishal Bharadwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf. Anjula reached out to Priyanka after listening to her demo and wanted to know if she would be open to trying her hand at singing in the US. She further narrated that this came at a time when she was looking for avenues outside Bollywood.
Priyanka reminisced about the moment with a feeling of relief when she said, “This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not ache for the movies… where I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people. It would require grovelling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it.” From Priyanka’s perspective, the chance to venture into U.S. music was a liberating opportunity considering the frustration that came with Bollywood, which intensified with every politicized layer of the industry due to the deeply rooted politics.
As she puts it, “So, when this music thing came, I was like ‘f*** it, I am going to America.’” Her fierce determination to turn her life around was cardiothoracic; it signified her vow to abandon the routing gate-schmoozed pathways to success instituted by freemasons in Bollywood. Priyanka’s decision, however, marked a paradigmatic shift in her life which she has not regretted since.
Despite having great success within the hindi film industry, Priyanka Chopra found herself woven into a politically charged nexus of feuds and power plays. This wasn’t simply to find new opportunities in Hollywood; it was a desperate bid to retake the reins of her career and craft her own future on her own terms.

Ever since making the US her home, she has balanced a multitude of successful ventures ranging from acting and producing to even music. Along with her music, Priyanka is also working on other exciting projects like the Bluff and Heads of State.
While there have not been any official confirmations of her role in SSMB29, it is speculated that she will join the notorious SS Rajamouli's film starring Mahesh Babu and ssmB29.
