President Draupadi will arrive on Murmu 25, administrative preparations complete

Khunti, May 24 (Hindustan Times). President Draupadi Murmu will arrive at the Dharti Khunti of Amar Shaheed Birsa on Thursday. The President will interact with women self-help groups at the Women’s Conference organized by TRIFED and National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation under the aegis of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India at Birsa College Stadium, District Headquarters, Khunti.

On this occasion, Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda, Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Renuka Singh Saruta, Governor CP Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Hemant Soren and other dignitaries will participate in the ceremony. Various tribal handicrafts from TRIFED, NSTFDC and other central and state government ministries are planned to set up booths featuring live demonstrations of tribals with the aim of educating women entrepreneurs about forests, their rights, funding and potential avenues of market and economy. A craft-wise exhibition of tribal products will be presented in 20 stalls, for which 20 suppliers from Jharkhand and Bihar and VDVK have been invited to participate with their products. In which various handicraft-wise stalls will be set up besides displaying tribal products from across the country. More than 25 thousand tribal members are likely to participate in the President’s program. All preparations in this regard are being finalized on war footing. A huge pandal has been constructed at the venue to accommodate the thousands of self-help group women participating in the programme. Several senior police administration officials of the state reached Khunti on Wednesday regarding the President’s program and inspected the program venue located at Birsa College campus and the helipad site constructed at Simbukel along with the DC and SP of Khunti and inspected all other arrangements. including security.

Tight security system

Tight security arrangements have been made in Khunti town for the arrival of the President. The city has been divided into six zones and police officers have been appointed along with magistrates. District administration Khunti has completed all kinds of preparations in view of the presence of President Draupadi Murmu as the chief guest in the women’s self-help group convention organized at Birsa College Khunti Stadium on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan and Superintendent of Police Aman Kumar jointly briefed all the Deputy Magistrate-Officers and Police Officers-Staff on the successful planning of the President’s event. The Deputy Commissioner instructed to read the joint district order issued in view of the program in full and understand the work to be done at the place of deputation.

He instructed the magistrates and officials posted at the entrance gates not to allow anyone to enter without a valid identity card. Keeping in view the possible rush on the day of the event, the DC and SP have directed to keep the traffic order tight. Along with this, the block development officer, zonal officer and in-charge of the police station of all the blocks were instructed to keep a close eye on every movement in their respective areas.
