According to the Vedic calendar, the Trayodashi date in the Shukla Paksha of Falgun month begins on the 11th March, 2025 at 08:13 am and ends on 12th March, 2025 at 09:11 am. This means the fasting for Pradosh Vrat will be observed on the 11th of March based on the Udaya date. The worship of Mahadeva is done in the evening during the Pradosh fast.
Pradosh Vrat 2025 Shubh Muhurat
For those looking to break their fast during the Pradosh Vrat, be sure to note the shubh muhurat. The most ideal time for worship is from 06:27 pm to 08:53 pm, but further details about other auspicious times are given below:
Brahma Muhurta is from 04:58 am to 05:47 am.
Vijay Muhurat is from 2:30 pm to 3:17 pm.
Twilight time is from 06:25 pm to 06:49 pm.
Nishita Muhurat is from 12:06 am to 12:55 am.
Pradosh Vrat Puja Procedure (Pradosh Vrat March 2025 Puja Vidhi)
On the evening of the Pradosh Vrat, people are advised to wake up during Brahma Muhurta and eagerly focus on meditating on Mahadev.
Subsequent to bathing, one should proffer water to the Sun God while performing their morning prayers.
With devotion, pour energy into worshipping Shivling during the anointment.
Place cider and sandalwood oil onto the Shivling and dust it with ash.
Finally, present a sweetened cream dish and yogurt to Mahadev.
To finish off, light a ghee lamp and sing his praises offering him your gratitude.
Now, repeat his mantras while focusing on Mahadev and meditating.
