On the occasion of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Foundation Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the party's commitment to governance and development. He emphasized the public’s growing trust in the BJP, reflected in its consistent electoral victories across national and local levels.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Modi stated:
"Greetings to all BJP Karyakartas on the Party's Sthapana Diwas. We remember and honour all those who have worked tirelessly to strengthen the party over the decades."

Focus on Viksit Bharat and Public Service

PM Modi called the day a moment to renew the party’s pledge toward building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
"This important day makes us reiterate our unparalleled commitment to India’s progress and the dream of a developed nation," he noted.

The Prime Minister said the BJP's governance model is evident from the mandates received in various elections—Lok Sabha, Assembly, and local bodies—throughout the country.

Karyakartas at the Core of BJP’s Strength

Highlighting the contributions of party workers, Modi expressed appreciation:
“Our hardworking Karyakartas are the backbone of the BJP. Their dedication at the grassroots level is what drives our mission forward.”

He also said that party members are serving the underprivileged and working tirelessly across the country.
"Their energy and enthusiasm are truly motivating," Modi added.

BJP's Journey: From 2 Seats to a National Majority

The BJP was established in 1980 by leaders from the former Bharatiya Jana Sangh. Initially, the party won just two Lok Sabha seats in the 1984 general election. However, its influence expanded rapidly under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L.K. Advani.

Since 2014, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the BJP has secured a majority in the Lok Sabha and continues to lead the central government.
