Cricket is considered a game of uncertainty, but there is more uncertainty in the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Pakistan Cricket Team. Anything can happen there at any time. Many times such decisions are taken in the PCB, which surprise everyone. Just a few days ago, Carrie Kirsten resigned from the post of Pakistan’s limited-overs coach. After this, Jason Gillespie was made the acting coach of limited overs, then he was also the Test coach. After this, the news has come out that Aaqib Javed will be made the coach of all three formats of the Pakistan cricket team in place of Gillespie. But now the Pakistan Cricket Board has denied this news and termed it false. The PCB tweeted that Jason Gillespie will remain the Test coach and will be the coach of the team for two Test matches on the South Africa tour.
Aaqib Javed can become a coach in limited overs.
There is a possibility that he may be removed from the post of acting limited-overs coach and Aaqib Javed may get this responsibility in his place. According to a PTI report, Pakistan will travel to Zimbabwe for three ODIs and as many T20 matches between November 24 and December 5. A reliable source in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that Aaqib Javed was not ready to take up the responsibility of the team’s coach but PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has convinced him. The source said that the Pakistani team will fly to Harare after playing its last T20 match in Australia on Monday. In such a situation, the new head coach will join them in Zimbabwe.
Aaqib Javed has coaching experience.
Aaqib Javed is currently a senior national selector. He has a lot of coaching experience with Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He was also the bowling coach of Sri Lanka recently. He has been the bowling coach of Pakistan and the head coach of the Under-19 team in the past. Javed’s experience can be useful for the Pakistani team.
