On May 9, Imran’s supporters were enraged when Pakistan Rangers arrested him from the Islamabad High Court. Violence broke out across the country and many senior army officers were also caught in the commotion. Fawad Chaudhary was the Broadcasting Minister in the Imran government. He has called the violence shameful. Fawad was addressing the media after coming out of the Islamabad High Court. He said that whatever happened on May 9 was very shameful. The Army Headquarters was attacked and the Corps Commander’s house in Lahore was burnt down. These incidents are shameful. Those who were involved in these incidents were associated with PTI and should be punished.
He said that the hearts of all those who belong to Pakistan and those associated with the Pakistani Army are crying tears of blood. Fawad said that being from PTI he would say that these incidents are shameful and should never happen. They should be investigated and action should be taken against all those people whether they are from PTI or not.
“If there is army then there is Pakistan”
Fawad said that PTI has relation with Pakistan and whoever has relation with Pakistan automatically has relation with army. If there is army then there is Pakistan and there are people of Pakistan. Fawad Chaudhary said that policies should be made keeping this in mind. When Fawad was asked that Imran has not yet expressed regret and has expressed grief over it. Fawad’s reply was that Imran has done the same and he is doing the same.

On Tuesday, when the court ordered his release, a video of him went viral. In which he was seen getting nervous seeing the police outside and quickly opened the door of the car and entered inside. When the police arrived to arrest Chowdhary in another case, he fled inside the court. Chowdhary told Justice Aurangzeb that despite being granted bail by the court, the police tried to arrest him. Later the judge said, you are a lawyer yourself, so you should have waited for the written order. He heaved a sigh of relief after the judge barred Chowdhury from arrest in any case.
