New Dates for NEET UG Counseling: The Medical Counseling Committee has updated the dates for NEET UG Counseling (NEET UG 2025). Revised dates have now been set for choice filling. seat allocation, result generation and reporting for Round 1. While the registration deadline was previously set to July 28, candidates will now be permitted to register till July 31. The last date for choice filling and locking will also be July 31 instead of July 28.  

In an MCC notification, the seat allocation for Round 1 will still be from July 29 – July 30, which was previously set between August 1 – 2. The result will now be released not on July 31, but between August 3 – 4.  

By what dates should students report to the colleges?  

Students have been provided the dates from August 4 to 8 to report to the college with requisite documents. The previous deadline to report to college was set to July 31 – August 6. The verification will happen over the course of 2 days.

Counseling will be done in 4 rounds

The counseling procedure consists of Round-1, Round-2, Round-3, and one stray round. The MCC has not made any notifications about any new phases. According to earlier provisions, the application window was expected to open between August 12 and 18. I expect Round 3 to be conducted around August 3. The application window for stray rounds will open from September 22 and close on September 24. It is better to check every now and then for the important information.

Steps to Register

The first step to take is the MCC website mcc.nic.in.

Go to the home page and click on the section “UG Medical”.

Click on the hyperlink for New Registration 2025.

Complete the registration form that requests NEET UG roll number, NEET UG application number, candidate’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, and a security pin among others.

Fill the application form correctly and completely.

Provide the necessary information under documents. Submit the application form.

Print a copy and keep it for your reference.
