As several cities in India organized protests and candle marches for the notorious terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir that killed 26 people, it was clear that the magnitude of the attack had shocked the entire country. People from all over gathered in sympathy and honor of the deceased victims and initiated actions to draw attention towards justice.

Candle Marches Across Major Cities

Chandigarh saw people pouring on the streets with banners while promising to actively fight for the peace of the souls of the martyrs.

The posters carried during the candle march in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh showed a deep sense of anguish and empathy along with anger towards the brutal acts of violence.

Voices from  Kashmir Condemn Terrorism

Protests were also attended by students from the Government Degree College for Women in Anantnag, Kashmir who actively participated by walking around town condemning the attack.

“We condemn this act. We need peace and this attack does not represent the real Kashmir or us. Terrorism has no religion,” a student said.

Capital and Other Cities Join in Mourning

Members of Khan Market Trade Association living In Delhi arranged a candle march in sympathy for the martyrs of the incident.

The BJP Yuva Morcha in Bhubaneshwar also joined other citizens in the march to show their condolences to the victims and the bereaved families.

Collective Response To Terrorism In India

From all the regions of the country, one can clearly view the patriotism and concern against terrorism during such rough times. People standing at every point of the nation together makes it amply clear,from children to the elderly, that they equally feel sorry and stand for the cause.
