Uttarakhand BJP chief says Congress remained tight-lipped on Dargah multi-crore bungling
Dehradun: Uttarakhand BJP president Mahendra Bhatt has alleged that the Congress party, which did not speak out against a multi-crore scam at a Dargah in Uttar Pradesh, has no right to raise fingers against the Ram Temple donations scandal in Ayodhya.
He said the Congress party cannot speak on irregularities of the Shri Ram Janmbhumi Teerth Trust over missing donations, for it did not even honour the invite to participate in the consecration ceremony of the temple.
Replying to a question on allegations levelled by the Congress party on the missing crores of rupees donations from the Ram Temple, Uttarakhand state BJP president Mahendra Bhatt said "not a single statement was issued by the Congress and other opposition parties over a multi-crore corruption scandal involving donation funds at the Ghazi Peer Dargah in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh recently.
"Congress party was tight-lipped on the scam in the Dargah donation fund case for fear of losing minority votes. They don't have the right to speak on the Ram Temple issue as it is being probed by the SIT and things will come clean in the coming days."
Bhatt added that "the Congress shielded the government that ordered firing on Ram devotees, dismissed not one but three state governments for Muslim appeasement after the disputed structure was brought down.
"Congress party that promised in the parliament to rebuild Babri Mosque is pretending to be concerned about the temple offerings in Ayodhya."
Talking of the Congress' "history of appeasement and anti-Hindutva stance", the Uttarakhand BJP chief and Rajya Sabha member said "People in India have not forgotten who opposed construction of the Ram Temple persistently. The Congress fielded its top lawyer-leaders in the court to stall the temple's construction.
"It was also the Congress government at the Centre that submitted affidavit in the court denying the existence of Lord Shri Ram. Besides this, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court to delay the Ram Mandir verdict solely to prevent the BJP from gaining political mileage from it."
Bhatt attacked the top leadership of the Congress party and their intentions and said, "This is the same Congress whose top leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi did not think it necessary to attend the sacred consecration of the Ram Temple despite receiving due invitation from the Trust.
"Their top leaders did not gather courage to visit Ayodhya for the ceremony as they did not want to be seen as going against their politics of appeasement. Those for whom politics matters above faith in Sanatan are today spreading lies, confusion and rumors under the guise of Hindu faith."
