The AFP reported that 694 people died in Myanmar due to an earthquake that occurred Friday. Also, a construction skyscraper in Thailand was damaged. Earthquake devastated many buildings and wrecked infrastructure in a broad area.

City officials said rescue teams are still trying to find people alive, but due to the level of devastation the city suffered in the earthquake, it’s a slim chance at best.

Mandalay, the second largest city in Myanmar was greatly impacted without a doubt. By far the worst hit. It is situated bang in the mid of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake core, along witn very strong aftershocks and tremors later on.

A notable amount of life was lost due to the earthquake along with a drastic increase in the number of destroyed Buddist monasteries, alongside various other buildings and bridges…

The government declared an emergency state for 6 of the most badly impacted central regions during the earthquake. In addition to these fourteen districts, a main hospital located in Naypyidaw reported that patients had to be treated outside.

The region that was hit the hardest was said to be in liw of meeting aspirations after hearing Mayanmar statements regarding the need for blood in these regions.

Along with the rest of the world, the Myanmar government called out for assistance. USD 5 million were pledged as immediate relief through the United Nations

India has also sent around 15 tons of aid materials to Myanmar using an Indian Air Force aircraft, committed Donald Trump of the United States has assured support and China and Russia have begun to send emergency services.
