Meenakshi form of BJP has won in Muzaffarnagar

Meerut, May 13 (Hindustan Times). BJP’s Meenakshi Swarup defeated SP’s candidate Lovely Sharma by 11 thousand 786 votes in Muzaffarnagar Municipal Council president post election. Here also the AIMIM candidate got 11531 votes.

Meenakshi Swarup was nominated by the BJP for the Muzaffarnagar Municipal Council elections. While SP has given ticket to Lovely Sharma, BSP to Roshan Jahan, AIMIM to Chhoti, Congress to Bilkis Chaudhary. After the counting of votes on Saturday, BJP candidate Meenakshi Swaroop secured 91 thousand 942 votes defeating SP’s Lovely Sharma (80156 votes) by 11 thousand 786 votes and won the post of president. AIMIM’s Chhoti got 11531, INC’s Bilkis Chaudhary 4452, BSP’s Roshan Jahan 9991, Independent Geeta 328, Independent Babita Sharma 519, Independent Reshma 408, Independent Saman 2701, Independent Saloni Sharma 51 votes. While 1376 people pressed the NOTA button.

It is worth mentioning that Meenakshi Swaroop who came from SP was announced by BJP as its candidate. Because of this, there was opposition among the workers against the BJP candidate. After the victory in a fierce fight, a wave of happiness spread among the BJP leaders. Union Minister of State Dr. Sanjiv Balyan, State Minister Kapil Dev Aggarwal have attributed this victory to workers’ policies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
