Earlier today, Netflix declared via X that 'Officer on Duty' is set to premiere on their platform on March 20th. They also mentioned that the movie will be available in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. To those who do not know, the movie covers a large array of topics such as family, crime, revenge, and the psychological burden placed on law enforcement.
What is the story of the film?
In the film, the story follows a police inspector by the name of Harishankar, who happens to be a very frustrated man. Harishankar has recently been demoted to the post of Circle Inspector (CI) of the police. Things get a little interesting for him when he gets a complaint regarding a certain Chandrababu who is suspected to be running a jewellery racket. Without knowing what awaits him, Harishankar sets out to investigate the case and in doing so, he uncovers a horrendous list of crimes, all of which are intertwined with his heart-wrenching past.

The film ‘Officer on Duty’ which recently released in February, stars Kunchacko Boban as CI Harishankar and actress Priyamani as Geeta. Jagadish Chandrababu, Vishak Nair takes on the role of Christy Savio while Adukalam Naren portrays Commissioner Marthandam. Ramzan Muhammad stars as Shyam Babu and Aishwarya Raj portrays Anna Louis. The film is directed by Jeetu Ashraf and written by Shahi Kabir. The film will be released in English and dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada.
