Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Imphal, India – In a significant security development in conflict-ridden Manipur, a joint team of the Assam Rifles and Manipur Police has arrested two militants belonging to the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP). A cache of firearms and ammunition was also recovered during the operation.

The successful operation was launched in the Thoubal district based on specific intelligence about the presence of armed insurgents in the area.

According to officials, the security forces conducted a targeted search operation, which led to the apprehension of the two active cadres of the KCP's People's War Group faction. During the subsequent search, two pistols along with ammunition and other incriminating materials were seized from their possession.

The arrested individuals and the recovered items have been handed over to the local police station to initiate further legal proceedings.

This arrest marks a notable success for the security forces in their ongoing efforts to curb militant activities, disrupt insurgent networks, and restore peace and stability in the state.
