Nexus Select Trust Listing: India’s first retail-focused REIT launched on Friday. The REIT saw single-digit premium listings, however, as debuts on BSE and NSE were bullish. Nexus has the largest portfolio of consumption centers in India.

Shares of Nexus were trading 1.7% higher at ₹104 on the BSE. But the stock is listed at ₹102.27 in the IPO compared to a 2.3% premium to its upper price band.

On the NSE, the shares of the REIT were trading at ₹103.63 each. Here, Sherma started trading at ₹103, which is a 3% premium to the issue price of the IPO.

The business at Nexus is in the general market segment. Backed by leading alternative asset manager, Blackstone, Nexus is the first publicly listed consumption center REIT in India.

 

Nexus Select Trust REIT IPO opened from May 9 to May 11 at a price band of ₹95 to ₹100 per equity share. The size of the IPO was ₹3,200 crore.

Membership over 5 times

The IPO of Nexus Select Trust has been subscribed 5.74 times. Non-institutional investors subscribed 6.6 per cent of their stake in the IPO and qualified institutional buyers subscribed 5.06 per cent.

According to NSE, the company has received Rs 3200 crore from the IPO. 1,400 crore in the latest issue of the IPO offer units and Rs. This includes offer for sale (OFS) of units up to ₹1,800 crore. The company has raised Rs. 95 to Rs. The price band of 100 was fixed.

The company raised Rs. 1,440 crores got subscription. Anchor investors include HDFC MF, IIFL AMC ICICI Pru MF, SBI MF, HDFC Life Insurance, SBI Life and Star Health. Other anchor investors include Prusik, Morgan Stanley and Tata Investment Corp.

The company’s portfolio has a rental base of 1,044 domestic and international brands with 2,893 stores by December 2022.
