The Indian batter is expecting his first baby and has been given special permission from the management Delhi Capitals to miss the game against his previous franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

Recently, Rahul has been in great form and was among the star performers for India during the Champions Trophy win in Dubai. However, he has not been in India's T20I squad, and he expressed during the tournament in Dubai that his goal is to get back into the T20I squad.
