During Monday's match at Wankhede Stadium, Ashwani Kumar made his debut by taking an impressive four wickets while the Kolkata Knight Riders were bowled out for a mere 116 runs in 16.2 overs. Mumbai Indians put KKR on the backfoot right from the start of the innings and Kumar made sure they stayed there.

KKR’s innings was unspectacular from the start as Sunil Narine was out on the very first delivery which was bowled out by Trent Boult. Following Narine, KKR lost Deepak Chahar who was dismissed in the very next over alongside Quinton de Kock. After the seventh over KKR lost five wickets.

Chahar, the left arm pacer bowler must have felt great after becoming the first Indian to claim more than four wickets on debut but bone shattering 4-22 wasn’t his only trophy of the day. He claimed Rahane on his first delivery which made his day even better. Ajinkya Rahane went caught into the third man. Alongside Chahar's two wickets Kumar's him or her performance made him the pick.

With 26 runs off 16 ball, Angkrish Raghuvanshi was nowhere near the top positions but for this match he certainly was. Rinku Singh and Manish Pandey were also able to cross double digits scoring 19 and 17 respectively.
