Kangana Ranaut’s film Thalaivi has been released in theaters on 10 September. It is a biographical film in which Kangana played the role of former actress and Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa. After the release of the film, while on one hand, Kangana is happy that her acting has been appreciated, on the other hand, the actress is furious over the silence of Bollywood celebs on the film. Now recently, Kangana has targeted the celebs who did not praise the film, calling them the Bollywood mafia.
Kangana recently wrote in a story shared on her social media, ‘Very rarely does a film get such enthusiasm and unanimous approval, and Thalaivi is one such film. I am glad that people got to know Thalaivi Dr. J Jayalalithaa. I would like to thank my team for making this film which is shining like a diamond in my filmography.
In the second story, the actress writes, “On the other hand, I am waiting for the Bollywood mafia to put aside our political and ideological differences, as I do not find it difficult to appreciate a fine art.” Maybe they too rise above their petty human emotions and let the art triumph once in a while. Thalaivi.’
Apart from Kangana Ranaut, the film Thalaivi, directed by AL Vijay, stars actors like Nassar, Bhagyashree, Raj Arjun, and Jisshu Sengupta in important roles. The film has been released after theaters on Amazon Prime Video and Netflix.
