To accommodate the massive surge of pilgrims and ensure seamless travel during the holy month of Shravani Mela 2026, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of three dedicated special train services. Spanning major key routes including Jaynagar-Asansol, Deoghar-Raxaul, and Madhupur-Itwari, these special trains are scheduled to run between July 31 and August 30, 2026, providing much-needed relief and enhanced connectivity for millions of Kanwariyas and devotees traveling to Deoghar.
Jaynagar-Asansol and Raxaul-Deoghar Special Train Schedules and Routes
According to the official railway notification, the 05597 Jaynagar-Asansol Shravani Mela Special will operate 14 times every Friday, Sunday, and Tuesday from July 31 to August 30, departing Jaynagar at 8:00 PM and reaching Asansol at 11:30 AM the next day, while the return service (05598) will run from August 1 to August 31 with stops at Chittaranjan, Madhupur, Jasidih, and Simultala. Simultaneously, the 05545 Raxaul-Deoghar Special will run 14 times on identical days starting July 31, departing Raxaul at 00:30 hours and arriving in Deoghar at 17:05 hours, with return trips scheduled via Banka, Barahat, Bhagalpur, Sultanganj, Jamalpur, and Abhaypur stations, equipped with general second-class and sleeper class coaches.
Itwari-Madhupur Services and Passenger Convenience Highlights
Adding to the pilgrimage connectivity, the 08895 Itwari-Madhupur Shravani Mela Special will depart Itwari every Saturday from August 1 to August 29, arriving in Madhupur the next morning, with return services operating every Sunday from August 2 to August 30 featuring general, sleeper, and air-conditioned chair car accommodations. This comprehensive operational blueprint underscores the railways' commitment to passenger safety and crowd management, ensuring that every devotee traveling for the sacred festival experiences a comfortable and hassle-free journey.
