Govt medicine lying in drain after woman died of no treatment, Palamu health department in turmoil

Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : A photo that surfaced from Adarsh Gram area of Satbarwa, the concerned govt health department has landed in to a bigger trouble. The area where a tribal woman died for alleged lack of treatment, huge quantity of govt medicines lying dumped in drains and bushes.

The failure in the medicine management and monitoring system has put health department under fire.

Medicines found in drain

Anger simmered among villagers as a huge quantity of government medicines was found dumped among the bushes and drains in Parhiya Tola of Hudmud village related to the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana under Dulsulma Panchayat of Satbarwa block. The found medicines include 50ml syrup bottles, medicines to combat anaemia and antibiotics like Ceftriaxone. However preliminary reports indicated that a few of them were expired.

Villagers Ashok Mistry and Maheshwar Singh while heading towards the forest in the morning today noticed the medicines being dumped amongst the bushes. Based on the information obtained a large chunk of villagers thronged the location and complained that medicines which should have reached the needy patients through the funds of the government were dumped and thrown out in open.

Medicines surfaced after death

The larger point to highlight is that this discovery comes right after two days since Sugni Devi, mother of Vinod Parhiya, a resident of Salaiyan Parhiya Tola in Rabda Panchayat, died of alleged no medical treatment. According to villagers the health facilities provided were in shambles and that they were unable to secure a medical facility at the right time.
