The ongoing investigation into the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) recruitment irregularities has uncovered staggering levels of institutional corruption. According to the official case diary submitted by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) before the court, investigators have unearthed definitive evidence revealing that approximately 500 OMR sheets were systematically tampered with across two major JPSC examinations. Pointing directly to Block Supply Officer (BSO) Abhay Tiwari, currently posted in Podaiyahat, Godda, as the central mastermind of the exam-rigging syndicate, the probing agency is rapidly untangling a complex web of high-level administrative connivance, financial transactions, and digital manipulation.
Mastermind’s Modus Operandi: Front Companies, Lease Agreements, and UPI Money Trails
The CID's meticulous probe has linked Abhay Tiwari directly to Lucknow-based agency TSR Data Processing Private Limited (TDPL), which handled sensitive examination processes. Testimony provided by Lalpur flat owner Rekha Devi established that the lease agreement for TDPL’s operating office was executed under the name of Saurabh Pandey, Tiwari’s brother-in-law. Investigators recovered an official TDPL identity card belonging to Tiwari from the premises, alongside digital evidence showing that Tiwari funded the travel expenses of TDPL directors Ramveer Singh and Abhay Tiwari via UPI transactions. Further financial scrutiny revealed that associate Buddheshwar Oraon recruited 24 candidates for the JPSC 2025 preliminary exams—collecting Rs 10 lakh each from 11 aspirants—with all illicit funds funneled directly into Tiwari's accounts.
Exploiting Personal Success as a Trap to Lure Vulnerable Aspirants
Operating from within the system, Abhay Tiwari leveraged his own clearance of the JSSC CGL and five other competitive examinations as a deceptive marketing tool. The CID uncovered that Tiwari presented his personal academic record as a "case study" to convince desperate job seekers of his infallible influence, successfully baiting candidates into his organized cheating syndicate. Meanwhile, the CID Special Investigation Team (SIT) has intensified its crackdown, summoning 25 successful candidates in the JSSC CGL case for rigorous interrogation on Thursday. With Tiwari currently held on a two-day police remand and key accomplices—including former commission chairman computer operator Dharmendra Kumar and agency employees Pradeep Singh and Sanjay—undergoing intense questioning at CID headquarters in Ranchi, authorities are racing to dismantle the entire middleman network.
