24-Day Campaign Promises Enhanced Passenger Facilities, Jharkhand Culture, and Smile-Filled Service
Travelers passing through Ranchi's Birsa Munda Airport are set to experience a major upgrade in terminal services as airport authorities roll out a 24-day 'Yatri Seva Abhiyan 2026' running from September 17 to October 10. Guided by the core motto "Service and Resolution, Service with a Smile," airport director Vinod Kumar announced that the extensive campaign prioritizes absolute cleanliness, uncompromising safety, seamless transit, and courteous staff behavior to ensure a world-class passenger journey. Throughout the 24-day initiative, administrative teams will conduct rigorous reviews and inspections across all critical touchpoints, including parking zones, taxi and auto signage, public transport guides, seating capacities, and dedicated priority seating arrangements for senior citizens and divyang passengers.
Special Focus on DigiYatra, Accessibility, World Tourism Day Celebrations, and Grievance Redressal
The comprehensive service drive leaves no stone unturned in optimizing terminal operations. Inspections will thoroughly cover wheelchair availability, ramps, elevators, accessible restrooms, luggage racks, baggage trolleys, and lost-and-found centers, alongside verifying the functionality of drinking water stations, purification plants, and water ATMs. Modern digital conveniences such as DigiYatra, free high-speed Wi-Fi, mobile charging kiosks, and digital assistance desks will also be actively promoted. Furthermore, the campaign features dedicated milestone dates: September 27 will showcase Jharkhand's rich art, culture, and tourism in honor of World Tourism Day; a cleanliness mega-drive is slated for October 2; emergency medical preparedness will be evaluated on October 5; and staff sensitization workshops on polite communication will follow on October 6, culminating in a final facility audit on October 9 and campaign closure on October 10.
