
Japan’s Trade Minister Yoji Muto will be in Washington for talks on Japanese economic relations with American senior officials from March 9 to 11, as announced by the trade ministry on Friday.
The Asahi newspaper reported Muto's dispatched plans two weeks ago, expecting him to leave without any concessions on the planned tariff restrictions on major arms such exports include vehicles and metals.
Shigeru Ishiba, the Japanese Prime Minister, met with Donald Trump in Washington during the first week of February, where both discussed investment and employment opportunities for U.S. nationals within Japanese firms.
