Choosing to bat first, MI lost their top order but Yadav's superb knock of 73 not out off 43 balls stabilized the innings. A brilliant unbeaten partnership of 57 runs between Naman Dhir, who scored a rapid 24*, along with Yadav lifted MI’s total to 180/5 and was ready to defend a competitive score.
Bowling Brilliance: Santner and Bumrah Shine
MI bowlers were on targeted and MI's bowlers put up a phenomenal display. Santner picked up 3 for 11 and Bumrah also took 3 wickets, 12 runs, restricting DC succumbing to 121 runs in 18.2 overs.
Delhi Capitals’ Struggles
DC without their regular captain Axar Patel due to illness, found it difficult to cope under stand in skipper Faf du Plessis and struggled adjust to the unit. With only sameer rivzi scoring 39 being the lone notable score, the batting order did not manage to gain any momentum.

During the rain-interrupted presentation ceremony, Suryakumar Yadav dedicated his Player of the Match award to his wifealong with a touching story. The way Yadav shielded Harsha Bhogle from the rain with an umbrella certainly earned him bonus points in the eyes of many.
