MI’s KKR demoliton with pace bowling
KKR batters had no answers to the relentless bowling from MI and the pace attack did most of the damage. With the helpless KKR side having no clue how to counter attack, Deepak Chahar, Trent Boult, Ashwari Kumar and Hardik Pandya picked up eight wickets between them.
The triumph of Ashwini Kumar’s debut performance

This was only possible after he bowled claiming the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane whose catch was taken by Tilak Varma at deep backward point for 11(7) and further helped by him removing Ruku Singh as well as Manish Pandey in the second over which reduced KKR to tatters. Rinku was caught by Naman Dhir for 17(14) while Manish was bowled out for 19(14). The onslaught Ashwami continued as he removed Russell Andre for his fourth wicket whom he bowled out for 5(11).
Rohit Sharma does make a big contribution.
Rohit Sharma for the second time in a row isn’t able to make a big impact, being dismissed for 13 by Andre Russell, cumulatively, this didn’t impact the team devoid of effort.
Suryakumar Yadav brings things to a close in a flurry
