Suspense crime, Digital Desk : For decades, Pakistan has practiced a foreign policy framework based on the premise of Islamic solidarity, attempting to carve out a niche for itself as a member of a larger Muslim ummah. This story, however, faced crippling defeat during the most recent round of India-Pakistan tensions after the Pahalgam terror attack. To make matters worse, Islamabad’s expectations were not met as the Muslim world came to Pakistan’s aid diplomatically.

Global Stillness and Quiet Change in Support

While focusing on foreign Muslim spokesmen, Pakistan’s traditional allies remained silent, including the staunch supporters. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Iran, and even Indonesia adopted a wait-and-see policy or even soft endorsement vis-a-vis India’s self-defense actions. Unlike many previous India-Pakistan confrontations, such as post-Balakot in 2019, a number of these countries have, in stark contrast to their past policies, stopped condemning India. Instead, these countries provide useful indicators of changing global and regional priorities.

With its $3.7 trillion economy and strategics partners, the expansion of India’s influence is also welcomed by many Islamic countries and is for sure — valuable allies. The new geopolitical order based on economic interests is also more advantageous than religious.

Only Turkey and Azerbaijan extended succinct support to Pakistan. Turkish President Erdogan has condemned India’s retaliatory strikes and branded them as provocations. Turkey's ideological support either does not take into account, or is overruled by the positions of Saudi Arabi, UAE, and even Turkey’s own loyalist supporters he pan-Islamism and uses it to target Erdogan’s urges.

Erdogan retains hope to support, solidify, and expand the power held over in the Muslim world by, what he has previously referred to, as Turkey’s little brothers. Not that known, albeit other regional dominators haven’t given it much respect, the Islamic world pays less attention to Azerbaijan, so it is free to join and openly support Turkey and Pakistan.

In the Gulf, India’s Growing Clout Is Where It Is.

‘With little diplomatic efforts, India achieved remarkable results during the crisis. India was not targeted by the UA, SAUDIS, Qatar, and Iran, which also issued an appeal for caution. Pakistan attack is not supported by Saudi Arabia and even lesser known Malaysia, and Qatar even scolded India indirectly saying that the aid attack at Pahalgam is barbaric.

Serving at the main spearhead area such as the Gulf covers the entirety of hands, Indian diplomats actively went out to warn the capitals elevating too far New Delhi's frame as counter terror operations.

Iran and Jordan Choose to Be Moderately Active

Although Iran has a history with Pakistan, they opted to remain neutral. Iran provided mediation services and even offered condolences during the Pahalgam incident which indicates a desire to maintain good relations with India. Jordan furthered a similar call for peace, not siding with Islamabad as well, which indicates yet another change in the regional dynamics.

Strategic Isolation of Pakistan Deepens

The reason for Pakistan's decreased significance in the Islamic world is its growing association with China and Turkey, as well as its unwillingness to reasonably combat terrorist organizations. Former allies, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, have grown increasingly skeptical. Endless contradictory diplomacy has led to the loss of trust.

Pakistan’s weakening diplomatic position is emerging even within South Asia. The Maldives and Afghanistan are the latest countries to actively or passively associate themselves with India, which narrows Islamabad’s already limited room in the region.

India's Foreign Policy Achieves Desired Outcomes

Alongside diplomatic engagement, a carefully measured military response ensured global acceptance and did invite major criticism. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) relied on pre-established relationships and worked with Islamic nations, enabling the formation of an balanced narrative on the international level.
