Bihar's political landscape is heating up, and this time, it’s a high-stakes verbal duel between the state’s Home Minister, Samrat Choudhary, and the opposition RJD.

During a recent session of the Bihar Legislative Council, things took a dramatic turn when Choudhary issued a direct warning to opposition members. He claimed to have a "file" and a detailed record of everyone’s actions, suggesting that he would take action against them one by one when the time is right.

Choudhary’s Warning: "I Have Everyone's File"

Samrat Choudhary, who was recently tasked by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to oversee the home department, didn't mince words. He stated that he knows exactly who is doing what and that no one will be spared.

"I will treat everyone, one by one. I have a record of every person; I have everyone's file," he said during his address. He further teased the RJD by reminding them that their own leader, Lalu Prasad Yadav, had once risen to power with the support of the Jan Sangh (the predecessor of the BJP) and had even sought blessings from the RSS office.

RJD Hits Back: "Go Ahead and Arrest Us"

The RJD was quick to respond to these "scare tactics." Senior RJD MLA Bhai Virendra challenged the Home Minister to act on his words instead of just making threats.

"If you feel like someone needs to be arrested, then do it. We follow the law and aren't afraid of these threats," Virendra said while talking to the media. He accused the government of tailoring laws to target the opposition while protecting their own. According to him, the "rule of law" in Bihar is being replaced by political vendetta.

The Bigger Political Picture

This exchange highlights the deep-seated friction in Bihar politics as the state gears up for future electoral battles. While Choudhary is positioning himself as a tough administrator cleaning up the system, the RJD is framing it as an abuse of power and an attempt to silence the opposition.

As both sides dig in their heels, the common people of Bihar are watching closely to see if these "files" will actually lead to legal action or if this is just another round of political posturing.
