Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The Telugu film industry and fans were thrown into a state of shock and confusion following widespread but false reports claiming the death of veteran director AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary. Several media outlets had erroneously published articles announcing his passing, leading to an outpouring of premature condolences.

However, the news was quickly proven to be a baseless rumor. Taking matters into his own hands, AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary released a video statement to personally debunk the fake news and reassure everyone of his well-being.

In the video, a visibly frustrated Chowdary stated, "For the last two hours, I have been receiving non-stop calls. Some media outlets have published news that I am dead. I don't understand why they do this. I am alive." He expressed his deep disappointment with the lack of journalistic integrity that led to the spread of such distressing misinformation.

AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary is a respected name in Tollywood, having directed several successful films. He is best known for delivering major commercial hits like "Yagnam" starring Gopichand, which was a landmark film in the actor's career, and "Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham," which marked a successful debut for Sai Dharam Tej. He has also worked with other top stars, including Nandamuri Balakrishna. His most recent directorial venture was the 2022 film "Tiranga," starring his brother A.S. Ravinder.

The incident has highlighted the persistent problem of fake news and the speed at which it can spread in the digital age. Fans and industry colleagues have expressed immense relief upon seeing the director's clarification, while also calling for greater responsibility from media organizations.
