Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The latest addition to the Housefull series is doing especially well. “Housefull 5” has done good business at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews from the audience. The comedy-drama starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh earned Rs 24 crore net in India and saw significant growth over the first weekend.
As per Sacnilk’s data, the film’s collection on the third day across all languages is said to be about Rs 32 crore net, indicating substantial growth. On its first Sunday, the movie’s occupancy in Hindi belt was 39.52%.
Box Office Growth Rate and Milestone Achievement
Housefull 5's total domestic earnings by the end of the third day stood at Rs 87 crore. The film has garnered more earnings than the original Housefull and surpassed the franchise’s Akshay Kumar’s other recent titles like Sky Force and Kesari Chapter 2.
The film was released on June 6 and its second day earnings were Rs 31 crore. The total weekend collection rose to Rs 55 crore. With incrementing collections steadily, this film is set to cross the Rs 100 crore mark and counter on its first Monday.
Star Promotions and Unique Film Versions Boost the Popularity
Currently, Akshay Kumar is working on the promotion of Housefull 5. In an innovative strategy for marketing the film, he was seen recently incognito outside a Bandra theatre, getting masked audience feedback.
Sajid seems to have gone overboard with the film as just like its previous installments, this one also boasts with an even more bulging and expanding star cast of Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Sanjay Dutt, Johny Lever, Chunky Panday, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Chitrangada Singh, Ranjeet, Nikitin Dheer, Sonam Bajwa and Soundarya Sharma.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 has also created more excitement by releasing in two versions – Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B, each with a unique ending.
