Suspense crime, Digital Desk : For the millions of devotees who make the sacred journey to Tirumala, the Tirupati Laddu is more than just a sweet treat—it's a cherished prasadam, a divine blessing. However, the process of collecting this blessing has often involved long, winding queues.
In a significant move to blend ancient tradition with modern efficiency, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has introduced a high-tech solution: self-service kiosks at the laddu counters.
This new system is designed to streamline the entire process, drastically reducing wait times and making the experience smoother for every pilgrim.
How to Use the New Kiosks: A Simple Guide
The self-service machines are intuitive and easy to use. Here’s how they work:
- Scan Your Ticket: After completing their darshan, devotees can proceed to one of the new kiosks and scan the barcode on their darshan ticket.
- Verify Your Allotment: The screen on the kiosk will immediately display the number of free laddus the pilgrim is entitled to based on their ticket.
- Print Your Coupon: Once confirmed, the machine prints a coupon detailing the laddu allotment.
- Collect Your Prasadam: Pilgrims can then take this printed coupon to a dedicated counter to collect their laddus quickly, bypassing the previously long verification lines.
The Goal: A Seamless Pilgrim Experience
This digital initiative is part of TTD's ongoing efforts to leverage technology to improve crowd management and enhance the overall experience for the tens of thousands of pilgrims who visit the temple daily.
By automating the verification process, TTD aims to eliminate bottlenecks at the laddu counters, ensuring that devotees can receive their prasadam with minimal hassle after their spiritual darshan. This move is being hailed as a major step forward in modernizing the temple's vast and complex operations.
