Suspense crime, Digital Desk : In a chilling admission, Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar has publicly confessed to masterminding the assassination of famed Punjabi singer and politician Sidhu Moose Wala, claiming the murder was a form of retribution.
In a recent statement, Brar, a key member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, stated that Moose Wala had to be "punished" for his alleged involvement in the murders of two other individuals, Vicky Middukhera and Gurlal Brar. He framed the high-profile killing as an act of revenge, suggesting they were delivering a form of justice that the legal system had failed to provide.
"We wanted him to face punishment for what he'd done," Brar reportedly said, confirming the long-held belief by law enforcement that his gang was behind the attack.
Sidhu Moose Wala was brutally murdered on May 29, 2022, when his vehicle was ambushed and sprayed with bullets by multiple assailants in the Mansa district of Punjab. The brazen daylight attack on the internationally recognized artist shocked the nation and the global Punjabi diaspora.
Brar’s confession directly addresses the motive behind the crime, which investigators have attributed to inter-gang rivalry. Vicky Middukhera, a youth Akali Dal leader, was killed in 2021, and the Bishnoi gang has consistently accused Moose Wala of aiding the individuals responsible for his death.
This public claim of responsibility is a major development in one of India's most high-profile murder cases, even as Goldy Brar remains at large abroad and is one of the country's most wanted fugitives.
