Tragic Field Accident: How Fatehabad Farmer Sukhwinder Singh Sustained Injury
The victim, Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of Dharsool Kalan village in Haryana's Fatehabad district, met with a painful accident while performing routine farm work in his agricultural field on April 23. While attempting to connect a heavy trolley to his tractor, his left thumb was caught in the connecting hook mechanism, resulting in a complete severance. Following medical treatment, Sukhwinder formally submitted an application under the state government's welfare scheme on May 15, attaching essential supporting documents, a official medical disability certificate, and a verified affidavit.

Upon receiving the application, the Dharsool Market Committee initiated a meticulous verification process to evaluate the claim's authenticity. Administrative officials cross-verified the submitted medical records, conducted physical inspections, and recorded official written statements from fellow villagers present near the accident site. Following the successful completion of the departmental review, Dharsool Market Committee Chairman Rammehar Dharsool officially presented the financial assistance check of ₹37,500 to Sukhwinder Singh.
