The Birth Story of Hanuman Ji
According to mythology, Apsara Anjana was cursed to take birth on Earth. To get rid of the curse, she had to give birth to a divine child. Anjana performed intense penance for 12 years, praying to Lord Shiva, and as a result, she was blessed with Hanuman ji as her son.
As per Valmiki Ramayana, Hanuman ji’s father, Kesari, was the king of Sumeru Mountain and the son of Brihaspati Dev. Hanuman ji is believed to be the eleventh incarnation of Lord Shiva and is worshipped as Bajrangbali, Vanar Devta, and Pawan Putra.
Hanuman Jayanti Puja Vidhi (Worship Method)
- Dress Hanuman ji in a vermillion-colored loincloth.
- Light a ghee or oil lamp and worship using the Shodashopachar method.
- Offer jaggery and roasted gram (chana) to Hanuman ji to remove financial problems.
- Recite Hanuman Chalisa, Sunderkand, and Bajrang Baan for divine blessings.
- Donate food and water to the needy, which is considered highly auspicious.
