Gurugram 10 Corporate Giants Seek Massive Land Allotment to Setup Industrial Hubs in Sohna IMT
In a blockbuster development for job seekers in Delhi-NCR, Gurugram is on the verge of experiencing a massive employment surge. The Industrial Model Township (IMT) in Sohna is rapidly transforming into a major commercial powerhouse, with 10 prominent companies aggressively pushing to secure land to set up large-scale manufacturing and industrial units. Officials have confirmed that these corporations recently participated in a high-stakes e-auction organized by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), with land allocations expected to be finalized by the end of this month.
Direct Influx of Core Industries: Electric Vehicles, Automobile, and Textile Units
The incoming corporate investments are diverse and strategically focused on high-growth sectors. The 10 companies lining up for land acquisition primarily specialize in the electric vehicle (EV) segment, automobile component manufacturing, and the textile industry. Out of the 876 industrial plots carved out across the sprawling 1,600-acre Sohna IMT layout, 472 plots have already been successfully allocated to various businesses. The entry of these 10 new players will utilize a significant chunk of the remaining 404 vacant plots, which range in size from 450 square yards to a massive 10 acres, setting the stage for hundreds of new corporate and technical job openings.
Global Giants and Public Sector Majors Spearhead the Infrastructure Push
Sohna IMT's rise as a premium electronics and IT cluster is already backed by heavy hitters. A major Japanese energy firm, ALT Battery Technology, has reached the advanced stages of constructing a massive battery manufacturing facility sprawling across 180 acres of land. Simultaneously, the public sector titan Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) has already completed the foundational Bhoomi Pujan ceremony to erect a state-of-the-art Research and Development (R&D) center. Following these massive anchor investments, nearly 50 other allied industrial companies are actively preparing their blueprints to set up operations in the immediate vicinity.
A ₹300-Crore Modernization Drive to Attract Foreign and Domestic Investment
To seamlessly support this rapid corporate influx, HSIIDC is executing an aggressive ₹300-crore infrastructure development master plan to guarantee uninterrupted logistics. The mega township has earmarked specific zones to create a holistic industrial eco-system, including 74,000 square meters strictly for manufacturing plants, 25,000 square meters for a world-class business and convention center, and 22,000 square meters for a specialized tool room and design center. Additional spaces have been legally reserved for commercial complexes, startup incubation centers, and dedicated housing units for the industrial workforce, ensuring that the zone functions as a self-sustained economic engine.
