Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Google has issued a critical security alert for its entire lineup of supported Pixel devices, urging users to take immediate action to protect themselves from a newly identified high-severity vulnerability.
The vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2024-32896, is a significant flaw discovered within the Pixel firmware. If exploited by a malicious actor, it could lead to an "escalation of privilege." In simple terms, this means a hacker or a malicious app could potentially gain a higher level of control over the device than is normally permitted, posing a serious risk to user data and device integrity.
The good news is that Google has already developed and released a fix. The patch is included in the June 2024 security update, which is now being rolled out to all eligible devices.
Due to the serious nature of the threat, Google is strongly advising all Pixel users not to delay the installation of this update.
