Good news for Vodafone Idea: Credit Rating upgraded by ICRA, Outlook is ‘A-’

Post

Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : The business world knows that credit rating upgrades imply that a company is more capable of meeting its repayment obligations. With 'A-' rating there is decreased risk of a firm defaulting its repayment. In the long run, a company may be able to avail loans at lower interest rates and investors would have increased confidence on the firm's ability to pay.

Vodafone Idea provided this information under Regulation 30(6) of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The Company Secretary Pankaj Kapdev-signed letter stated that "A detailed rationale for the upgrade is awaited and would be posted on ICRA's website shortly."
