The Golden State Warriors will face the Denver Nuggets on 17 March – a date that captures the attention of sports lovers, as it promises to be a thrilling clash in the Western Conference, especially with both teams wishing to rack up as many wins as possible prior to playoff season. Stephen Curry of the Lakers and Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets are under injury watch, which adds critical interest to this game.
Jokic, Murray, and Gordon listed as questionable for the Nuggets
Denver's center player Nikola Jokic, guard Jamal Murray, and forward Aaron Gordon are all listed as questionable for tonight's game.
Nikola Jokic - Elbow/Ankle Injury
Jamal Murray - Ankle Injury
Aaron Gordon - Calf/Ankle injury
Jokic has missed five games this season. He played in Denver's recent back-to-back which features games against the New Orleans Pelicans and the Dallas Mavericks but has no real explanation of when he picked up his newest injuries. Murray hurt his ankle in the final moments of the Wizards loss on Saturday, and Gordon has had issues with his legs for weeks now, missing 6 out of the last 8 games.
Without Jokic, DeAndre Jordan and Zeke Nnaji would likely receive increased playing time. If Murray sits out, the Nuggets could look to Russell Westbrook at the point while Jalen Pickett or Peyton Watson could get put in the starting five if Gordon decides to rest.
Steph Curry is a Question Mark for the Warriors Paycheck
The Warriors currently posses some potential injuries, with Curry (back) also being questionable. Curry has looked great with the addition of Butler, but due to the Warriors solidifying their playoff spot, he may just get some rest.
Ever since acquiring Butler, the Warriors have been scorching hot, winning 7 in a row, and 11 of their last 12 games. They have jumped up to 6th place in the Western Conference and are now considered serious Contenders.
Curry's injury will dictate his, and the Warriors, chances at Denver, who currently is 3rd in the West, and the Warriors sitting in 6th. Tipoff is at 7:30 PM PT at Chase center in San Francisco.
