Fraud is happening in the name of reward points

In an alert issued by PIB Fact Check, SBI customers have been asked to be cautious of a fraud message circulating on social media. The message appears to be from SBI, but in reality, it is fake. In it, customers are asked to download an APK file to redeem reward points.

The bank does not send such messages

According to the alert, such messages are not true. SBI never sends any link to its customers via SMS or WhatsApp and does not ask customers to download APK files. To protect yourself from the dangers of scams, do not click on any suspicious links, and do not download unknown files.

Instructions from PIB Fact Check
