Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Germany launched their Euro 2024 campaign in spectacular fashion, delivering a commanding 5-1 thrashing of a 10-man Scotland in the tournament's opening match in Munich. The host nation showcased their formidable attacking prowess, leaving Scotland overwhelmed and with a mountain to climb in Group A.
The Germans wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Florian Wirtz finding the net just 10 minutes into the game. Jamal Musiala, who was electric throughout, doubled the lead less than 10 minutes later with a powerful strike. This emphatic victory sends a clear statement of intent from Julian Nagelsmann's side, establishing them as serious contenders on home soil. For Steve Clarke's Scotland, it's a sobering start, and they will need to regroup quickly for their upcoming fixtures against Hungary and Switzerland if they hope to progress from the group.
