Bollywood cinephiles are in for a fresh on-screen pairing as actress Tara Sutaria is officially confirmed to star opposite Aditya Roy Kapur in an ambitious, untitled musical romance backed by T-Series head Bhushan Kumar. Directed by filmmaker Milap Milan Zaveri, the high-octane project is conceived as an intense, passionately charged love saga framed against a backdrop of conflict, visceral drama, and profound emotional stakes. The announcement locking in Tara as the female lead arrives shortly after Aditya was officially brought on board, sparking major excitement across industry circles for bringing together two distinct romantic leads for the very first time on the silver screen.
Creative Reunion with T-Series: Tara Sutaria and Milap Zaveri Join Forces Again
The upcoming musical drama marks a high-profile reunion for its core creative ensemble:
Third Venture with T-Series: This venture cements Tara Sutaria’s third collaboration with producer Bhushan Kumar's powerhouse banner T-Series, having previously featured in the revenge thriller Marjaavaan and the multi-starrer Ek Villain Returns.
Reuniting with Milap Zaveri: The film also brings Tara back under the directorial vision of Milap Milan Zaveri following their successful creative association in Marjaavaan, promising a signature blend of dramatic dialogue delivery and heightened emotional pitch.
Music as the Emotional Backbone: With deep romantic longing and dramatic conflicts taking center stage, the makers are curating an expansive, melody-driven original music score that will serve as the emotional spine of the narrative rather than conventional song breaks.
First-Time Romantic Synergy: Aditya Roy Kapur and Tara Sutaria on the Silver Screen
A central highlight driving audience buzz is the dynamic new casting combination:
Unseen Screen Chemistry: Pairing The Night Manager and Aashiqui 2 star Aditya Roy Kapur alongside Tara Sutaria presents a fresh visual and emotional dynamic that has never been explored in Hindi cinema.
Intense Romantic Conflict: Characterized by production insiders as an unapologetically fierce and turbulent love story, the script places both leads in high-stakes circumstances testing the boundaries of passion, loyalty, and sacrifice.
Mounting a Theatrical Spectacle: Produced by Bhushan Kumar with Shiv Chanana serving as co-producer, the venture is being mounted on a sweeping theatrical canvas designed specifically for large-screen cinematic impact.
Production Timeline and Actor Lineups: 2027 Theatrical Launch
The creative unit is moving rapidly into pre-production ahead of the planned filming schedule:
Production Commences Late 2026: Principal photography for the untitled project is slated to go on floors later this year, with extensive shooting schedules planned across high-production indoor and outdoor locations.
Targeted 2027 Release: The film is being positioned for a wide theatrical debut across worldwide cinemas in 2027, making it one of T-Series' marquee romantic titles for that calendar year.
Recent Screen Appearances: Prior to this signing, Tara Sutaria featured in Yash’s Kannada action thriller Toxic alongside an ensemble cast featuring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth, while Aditya Roy Kapur was last seen leading Anurag Basu’s relationship anthology Metro... In Dino alongside Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher.
