Suspense crime, Digital Desk : A new song featuring Bollywood stars Ananya Panday and Kartik Aaryan, titled "Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri," has sparked intense online backlash, but not for its music. Instead, fans are heavily criticizing the actors for their extremely dark, tanned appearance in the music video, with many labeling it unnatural and even comparing it to "brownface."

Social media platforms, particularly Reddit and Instagram, were flooded with comments from netizens who found the over-the-top tans distracting and artificial. Trolls quickly began creating memes and discussion threads mocking the look, with many questioning the creative decision behind the drastic change in the actors' skin tones.

A significant portion of the criticism has been directed at Ananya Panday, with users coining the term the "Deepikafication of Ananya." This is a direct reference to Deepika Padukone's heavily tanned look in the controversial song "Besharam Rang" from the movie Pathaan. Fans are suggesting that Ananya's styling is an attempt to emulate that same aesthetic, which also faced public debate upon its release.

The online discourse has largely overshadowed the song itself, with the conversation shifting to celebrity styling, beauty standards, and the appropriateness of such dramatic visual alterations. For now, the "fake tan" has become the song's biggest talking point, turning a musical release into a viral pop culture controversy.
