The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has served a legal notice to South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch for breaching his contractual obligations. The 30-year-old cricketer pulled out of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 season after receiving an opportunity to play for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Bosch was initially signed by Peshawar Zalmi for PSL 2025. However, after Lizaad Williams was ruled out of IPL due to an injury, Mumbai Indians selected Bosch as a replacement player, leading to his withdrawal from PSL.

PCB’s Official Statement on Bosch’s Exit

In a press release issued on Sunday, the PCB confirmed that a legal notice had been sent to Bosch through his agent.

"The legal notice was served through his agent, and the player has been asked to justify his actions of withdrawing from his professional and contractual commitments," stated the PCB.

The cricket board emphasized the repercussions of Bosch's decision and has requested a response within a specified timeframe. PCB officials have made it clear that they will not make any further comments on the matter.

PSL and IPL Schedule Overlap

The Pakistan Super League 2025 is scheduled to run from April 11 to May 25, while the Indian Premier League 2025 will take place from March 22 to May 25. This overlap has historically led to conflicts for players juggling commitments between the two leagues.

Bosch’s situation highlights the ongoing challenge faced by international players balancing league commitments and potential opportunities in other franchises. It remains to be seen how PCB will enforce its contractual policies in this case.
