Congress observed that the Supreme Court gave importance to their concerns about the constitutionality of the Waqf (Amendment) Act or any other Bill based on the speech given during the court hearing, as noted by Congress boss Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday. He alleged that the government “deliberately” stirred the ‘Waqf by user’ controversy in order to instigate disputes over said properties.

In a meeting of general secretary and in-charges here, Kharge noted that “out of rage,” the Spirit of Vengeance Enforcement Directorate charge Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for “allegations of National Herald” and seized the properties in Delhi, Lucknow, and Mumbai proclaiming “spirit of vendetta”.

Also, he said regarding the Amendment Act that is pending before the Apex Court, “I am happy the supreme upheld the arguments and claims contended by the Congress and other opposition parties,” pointing out that Congress was the only group solicited. It is clear from what Kharge said that he is angry that the BJP and the government seem to mislead the population on the whole point opposition lease.

“Especially the issue of ‘Waqf by user’ has been deliberately brought up by the government to put Waqf properties into dispute,” he alleged.
