Bathinda. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Bathinda for the second consecutive day on Sunday. In the morning, he inaugurated the district's high-tech library and met with students studying under Mission Pragati. The library has 20 computers and will be operated at a cost of Rs 9 crore, the entire cost of which will be borne from Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds, the Chief Minister said.
Speaking to the media after the library inauguration, the Chief Minister openly addressed the recent controversy surrounding former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi. He stated that the BJP is promoting the politics of religion and hatred and attempting to incite violence in Punjab. He alleged that Atishi's Assembly speech was distorted and a conspiracy was hatched to link it to religious sacrilege by adding arbitrary subtitles.

The Chief Minister stated that forensic investigations have completely established that Atishi never said anything of the sort and that the matter was being ignited for political gain. Attacking the BJP, he said that whenever religion is involved, politics begins, and this hate politics is being used to harm Punjab.
CM Mann had reached Bathinda the previous day
This is a two-day visit by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. On the first day, the Chief Minister dedicated development projects worth ₹90 crore to the district. The Multania Railway Overbridge was reconstructed and dedicated to the public, while the construction of a new railway overbridge was approved.
This is an election year in Punjab, and all political parties have become increasingly active. The Congress party is holding rallies under the leadership of its MNREGA in-charge, Bhupesh Baghel, while the BJP is also holding frequent public meetings. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini has also held two rallies in the state, raising the heat of the electoral contest.
