China summons Japanese ambassador, opposes raising issues related to China at G-7 summit

China has summoned the ambassador of Japan to the G-7 summit to take action on issues related to China. A foreign ministry statement said Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong summoned the Japanese ambassador to protest China-related issues at the Group of Seven summit.

China’s Vice Foreign Minister questioned Japan

China’s vice foreign minister said that Japan had cooperated with other countries in activities and joint declarations to defame and attack China at the G-7 summit. Completely interfered in China’s internal affairs. Referring to the 1972 Sino-Japanese Joint Statement, he said that Japan violated the fundamental principles of international law and the spirit of the Four Political Documents between China and Japan.

China strongly protested

China’s Vice Foreign Minister said that Japan’s actions are detrimental to China’s sovereignty, security and development interests, and China firmly opposes them. Apart from this, he further said that Japan should improve its understanding of China, understand strategic autonomy. He said that China and Japan should adhere to the principles of the Four Political Documents and truly promote the stable development of bilateral relations with a constructive approach.
