Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Rudraprayag, May 1: The Char Dham Yatra 2025 officially began on April 30 when it opened on Akshaya Tritiya, one of the prominent holidays in the Hindu calendar. Many of the devotees came to Uttarkashi for the grand opening of the Gangotri and Yamunotri temple.

The event included Vedic chanting and other rituals with holy enthusiasm supported by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, who prayed first on both shrines. The devotees offered equal devotion for Prime Minister Narendra Modi that wished for a safe Aarti and the prosperity of the nation.

Historic First and Floral Tribute

Flagging this landmark starting point of devotion, CM Dhami is now the only chief minister of Uttarakhand to have attended the yamontri shrine’s opening. It further marks his attendance at Yamunotri temple. The event bestows floral showers from the helicopters suggesting greater aesthetic appeal to the already spiritual ambience.

The Utsav Doli of Goddess Ganga has already reached the Ganga Dham from Bhairav Ghati. The temple doors are opening at 10:30 am.

The Archana Shani statue is escorted with the statue of Goddess Yamuna from Kharsali and will open the temple gates at 11:55 am.

Pilgrims and Administration In Full Readiness

The commencement ceremonies were marked by holy dips and rituals which were attended by pilgrims from all over the globe. The CM Dhami highlighted the concern regarding the transport and medical facilities along with security and infrastructural aid relevant to the pilgrimage stating that these area’s infrastructure should be given Dharmarth Chardham Yatra.

He moreover requested the community to give vivacious reception to tourists in the light of hospitality.

Opening Dates of Kedarnath and Badrinath Temples

The Kedarnath temple is to be opened on the 2nd of May in Rudraprayag.

The opening for Badrinath Temple will be on the 4th of May, thus the temples would be fully operational.
